Dear Bequel

Dear Bequel,

Your mom, big brother, and I are awaiting your arrival around March 9th, 2021. We can’t wait to meet you! This year has been a weird one for sure, especially with the stay-at-home order (and choice) that both your mom and I take very seriously. Unlike when your mom was pregnant with Booker, I was the one who found out about you first, so we will always share that special bond!

Oddly, I feel much more calm about you than when Booker was born. I feel ready – I’ve changed diapers for 1.5 years, dealt with spit-up and weird sleep schedules, handled tomato-level crying – you name it. We just bought a new house and will be moving there in a month or so, so you and Booker can have your own rooms! Plus, a lot of room in the house and in the backyard to run around and play together. I hope that you two get along great.

Here’s the first photo we have of you:

We’re trying to document everything as best we can, but we’re unable to go to many places and show you around right now, so we’ll just have to do it when you get here!

One of the things we’re really excited about is to see you and Booker grow up together. Both me and your mom have siblings. It’s so great to be able to grow up with someone else and we can only hope that the two of you become the closest brothers.

Speaking of family, here’s the video I made to introduce you to the world (feat. Booker):

We’re so excited to meet you in March! Love you already.

Dada
